I
just can’t stop complaining about Guiding Light’s biggest waste of
story right now, Daisy and her two bad boy boyfriends. This whole
week was consumed by these insipid young adults. Guiding Light for
some crazy reason has invested heavily in these three characters
thinking that the audience
will fall in love with this triangle and
be glued to their televisions to find out what happens. The only
thing this viewer was glued to was the fast forward button every
time Grady, Daisy, and the back from the run Rafe. Imagine how many
viewers just hit the power off button when this trio was featured?
Since Guiding
Light has spent so much time with these three, I’ve decided not to
spend much time discussing every thing that is wrong about them. I
will just state that these three characters have no base, no merit,
no meaning, and especially no rooting value. Can anyone honestly
say that that they tune into to see Daisy be tortured over her love
of a killer or an attempted murderer? If Guiding Light continues to
feature these three, the ratings will be even further down the
toilet.

Since Daisy and
the boys consumed the week, not much else happened but for some
strange reason I watched the scenes that Natalia was in. I have
grown to like the actress Jessica Leccia very much. I think she is
trying to bring a unique perspective to her character. You have to
admit she isn’t your typical character that was brought on to break
up the big couple. Natalia actually has a little rooting value of
her own. For some reason I want to see her happy.
Was the fight
between Mallet and Marina supposed to be suspenseful or was it meant
to be a romantic little scene? I couldn’t tell because I was to
busy noticing the zero chemistry between these two. I know they
date in real life, but I see nothing there. I also think Rob Bogue
sometimes thinks his smile is enough to get him trough a scene.
Think again buddy.
I don’t buy for
one minute that Olivia would believe that Gus will heal her from
beyond and she wouldn’t need to see a doctor. Olivia has always
been a smart woman up until the past year or so, why does GL feel
the need to dumb her down even further. Get this woman back to who
she was you idiots.
Does anyone wish
that Alan’s blood clot would kill him? At first I wanted it to
happen because Alan hasn’t been Alan since Ellen Wheeler took over,
but maybe this is a way to get Alan back to the Alan of old…I’m
talking way old. Let him find his Achilles heel again, keep Beth
away from him and let him pay for his mistakes.
No one will ever
take these outdoor shots seriously if GL continues to feature stupid
scenes like the one between Olivia and Grady. Why was Olivia
walking around a road with all those shopping bags? You could
clearly see a Pizza shop in the back ground and a little bridge
right ahead of her. There were no cars in sight. Also there
weren’t any shops or boutiques around. It is like they stopped the
car, threw the actors out and told them to act. These actors all
must hate their jobs because they get no help from the writers,
producers, and directors.
I wish I could
say that I enjoyed Cassie’s rant at Daisy, but it was marred by
being set outdoors in that damn park that everyone can’t stay away
from. I also wanted her to slap Daisy and push her to the ground,
then buy a gun and shoot Grady in front of Cyrus… but alas no. I
have a feeling we are going to see a little romance between Cyrus
and Cassie. Between that new pairing, Mallet and Marina, and of
course Daisy and gang, their will be nothing much to watch on
Guiding Light.

I totally agree with you on Grady and Daisy....I HATE both of them and
really wouldn't care if either were heard from again. As for
Tammy---sorry, didn't like her either, hated her relationship with
her cousin, and I hated Jonathan after they hooked up. Glad they
are gone too, and Jonathan can stay gone as long as Lizzie can't
have Sarah.
Glad we share some hatred for Daisy and Grady, but I really liked
Tammy for some reason, always did.

We agree. I am just plain bored with Mallet /Marina too. Alan has
been demonized way beyond reality, even soap reality. I also have a
lot of trouble believing Lizzie doesn’t want to kill Alan. He tried
to drive her crazy, take her child kept her prisoner etc etc, etc. Knowing he had a brain tumor, I would be trying to burst it. Lizzie
got the booby prize when it came to family. When she was having
trouble none of her family helped her, Gus Alan, Michael, Lillian
included. Then Jon and Tammy wanted her child. Bill also took
advantage of Lizzie, and then helped hurt her again. Lizzie is the
one character I like and feel for. If Marcy leaves I think I won't
be able to get past the boredom.
